GSR/CIE Y Boilered 650 Class 2-4-0.

Introduced by the Midland Great Western Railway in 1893 a number of these locos survived to the end of steam in the early 1960s. Although displaced from the heaviest main line duties in the early 1900s members of the class continued to operate lighter main line passenger and mail trains into the mid-1950s and worked branch line passenger and mixed train duties into the 1960s.

This kit is a model of a loco fitted with a Y Superheated boiler by the GSR during the 1930s
