GSWR/GSR/CIE 52 Class 4-4-0.

Introduced by the Great Southern and Western in 1883 the 52 Class Irelands first class of express passenger 4-4-0 locomotive.

Quickly displaced from the heaviest main line duties by larger locomotives, the 52 Class continued to work lighter main line duties, branch line and secondary main line duties into the mid 1950s

This kit is a model of a locomotive in post 1900 condition with raised round topped boiler and double smokebox doors.

Etched nickel silver locomotive and tender kit with lost brass and whitemetal detail castings. This kit does not include wheels, gears, motor name and number plates.
